What Happens to Your Family's Data
Living relatives never transmitted
When the optional AI writes a biography, every living parent, spouse and child is stripped out of the request before it leaves the phone — not just the subject. That redaction deliberately ignores the user's own "protect living people" switch, because that switch governs a PDF that stays on the device while this path sends facts off it.
Tree fact-check with no AI
A deterministic pass over the tree's own dates and links flags contradictions — a death before a birth, a birth after a parent had already died, a lifespan past the 120-year bound — alongside research gaps like a missing birth date. No model and no network are involved, so a finding can never be invented.
Real pagination, real index
The PDF engine flows text down a page cursor and breaks to a new page when the next block will not fit, so a long life story spills onto a second page instead of being clipped. The back-of-book index records each person's actual printed page number as that page is drawn, rather than assuming one page per person.
Import reports what broke
The GEDCOM reader counts unknown tags, unresolved record pointers and duplicate ids, records exactly which conflicting field a merge overwrote, and warns when a file declares ANSEL text it can only read as Unicode. A name mangled on export from your genealogy software shows up as a notice instead of quietly changing.
