Getting started

• Whose story? When you first open Keepsake, tell it who you're recording — a parent, grandparent, or anyone you love.
• Talk, don't type. Open a chapter, tap a question, and tap Tap to talk. Keepsake listens and turns their words into text as they speak. Take your time — you can re-record or edit anything.
• Hear their voice. Every answer is recorded, so you can play it back anytime.
• Make the book. When you're ready, tap Make the Book to turn the answers into a designed memoir you can read, share, or print.

Common questions

Do I need an account? No. There's no sign-up and no login — just open the app and begin.

Where do the recordings go? The audio stays on your iPhone and is never uploaded. If you turn on the optional AI writing feature, only the typed transcript is sent — securely — to write the memoir; the audio itself never leaves your device. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Is the AI writing required? No. It's optional and off until you turn it on. Without it, Keepsake still saves their real words and makes a book from them.

How do I delete everything? In Settings, tap Delete everything — it permanently removes all recordings, transcripts, photos, and the story from your device.

What does "Make the Book" cost? Recording a story is always free. Making the finished, exportable memoir is a one-time unlock — the App Store shows the current price at purchase.

Can I add photos? Yes — add a cover portrait and photos to any chapter, and they'll appear in the book.
