RDR2 Companion — by djEnterprises
Last Updated: June 9, 2026
djEnterprises ("we," "us," or "our") operates the RDR2 Companion mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The short version: we require no account, we never sell your data or use it to track you, and your chat content is used only to generate the AI replies you ask for.
The App does not collect, store, or transmit:
If you optionally share your first name or other details with the AI in chat, they are handled as described in Section 2 — providing them is always optional.
When you send a message in the AI chat, your message — together with your recent conversation history and any remembered profile details (see below) — is transmitted securely to our backend server (hosted on Railway), which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Your recent chat messages are re-sent with each new question so the AI can follow the conversation. Your message content is used solely to generate the AI response and is not retained by djEnterprises after the request completes.
Our backend server keeps standard, short-lived technical request logs (IP address, timestamp, and message token counts for security and cost monitoring). The content of your messages is never written to our server's logs and is not stored on our servers.
When you use the voice input feature, your speech is transcribed using Apple's speech-recognition service, which may process audio on Apple's servers under Apple's Privacy Policy. The transcribed text of your spoken question is then sent to the AI service in exactly the same way as a typed message.
The App maintains a summary of recent conversations and remembered profile details (the "persistent memory" feature — optional facts you have shared, such as your first name, gaming platform, story progress, and playstyle preferences), stored on your device using iOS standard storage. To let the AI follow the conversation and personalize replies, these remembered profile details and your recent chat history are included with each chat request and are processed by our backend server and Anthropic in the same way as your messages. Providing your name is optional.
The App includes a button that lets you attach a screenshot image to a chat message. Attached images are transmitted to our relay server only — they are never forwarded to Anthropic or any other third party. An upcoming version of the App removes this feature.
The App fetches publicly available RSS feeds from gaming news outlets. These requests are proxied through our backend server. No personal information is included in these requests.
The App uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:
We have confirmed that each third party with whom the App shares user data provides the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this policy. No other third party receives your data, and we never sell or rent any user data.
There is no account to delete because no account is ever created.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take prompt action.
All communication between the App and our backend server uses HTTPS encryption. Your Anthropic API key is never stored in the App — it lives only in secure environment variables on our server. We follow industry-standard security practices in our infrastructure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
